HYP Labs is an independent research and product lab. We pick problems where the honest answer isn’t known yet, investigate them properly, and build products only from what the work supports.
§01Principles
Six rules the work answers to.
- P/01
Research before product.
We start from a question, not a roadmap. A product exists only when the research says it should.
- P/02
Say only what we can prove.
Every claim we make — on a page, in a paper, in a pitch — is one we can demonstrate. If we can’t show it, we don’t say it.
- P/03
Build on open networks.
We build on public, verifiable infrastructure, so the people who rely on our work can check it instead of taking our word for it.
- P/04
Privacy by construction.
Where we hold your data, we try not to be able to read it. This site’s contact form is end-to-end encrypted.
- P/05
Small and durable.
Fewer moving parts, maintained for years. We would rather ship one thing that lasts than five that don’t.
- P/06
Publish what we learn.
Findings, methods and mistakes go out in the open — including the work that never became a product.
§02 — How this site works
Built the way we say we build.
This site is served from canisters on the Internet Computer. It runs no analytics and no trackers, and loads no third-party scripts or fonts. What you type into its two forms — a message or a sign-up — is encrypted with vetKeys in your browser before it leaves.
